These General Terms and Conditions of Use (hereinafter referred to as the “GTCU”) apply to the “Le Gaz. L’énergie des possibles” Website


(hereinafter referred to as the “Website”).


By accessing the Website, you expressly and unreservedly accept the GTCU defined below. Any visit to the site must comply with these GTCU.

Purpose of the Website: GRTgaz launched this Website to provide personal information to its users. The Website was developed for the benefit of all Internet users wishing to get additional information about natural gas, its uses and the possibilities that it offers, in particular as part of the “Gas, The energy of possibilities” campaign. The use of its content, in full or in part, for commercial purposes is not permitted without the prior written agreement of GRTgaz.

Intellectual property of the Website: The entirety of the Website, including its components and/or the elements presented therein (in particular: tree structure, software, drawings and models, texts, photographs, illustrations, diagrams, graphic representations, trademarks, logos, domain names, etc.)

are protected by the provisions of the French Intellectual Property Code.

“GRTgaz” is a registered trademark with the INPI, the French national intellectual property office.

GRTgaz is the sole holder of the intellectual property rights relating to these elements, originating in or by the effect of a licence or express authorisation.

The use of all or part of these elements, in particular downloading, reproducing, copying, distributing, etc. for purposes other than user’s personal and private use for non-commercial purposes is strictly prohibited. Any infringement of the rights of GRTgaz makes the offender liable for penalties and, in particular, to those provided for by the French Intellectual Property Code, in particular relating to copyright infringement (Article L.335-1 et seq.), copyright of designs (Article L. 521-1 et seq.) and trademarks (Article L. 716-1 et seq.) as well as by the provisions of the French Civil Code relating to civil liability (Article 1240 et seq.).

Liability: The information published on the Website is subject to change at any time without prior notice. It is made available to Website users for information purposes only and is not contractually binding.

GRTgaz cannot guarantee that the Website will operate without interruption or without any errors.

GRTgaz is only bound by an obligation of means with regard to the operation and continuity of the service. GRTgaz cannot be held liable for any direct or indirect losses resulting from the use of the Website, regardless of the cause; in particular, it cannot be held liable for the alteration or fraudulent access to data and/or accidental transmission via a virus. Similarly, GRTgaz cannot be held liable for events due to a force majeure, malfunction and technical problems related to hardware, programs, software, or the Internet network that may result in the suspension or termination of the service.

Hyperlinks: The Website may contain hyperlinks to other websites. If the Website user visits one of these websites, GRTgaz encourages the user to read its policies, in particular its privacy policy. GRTgaz does not undertake any commitment concerning any other website to which the Website user may have access via the Website and takes no responsibility for the content, operation and access to these sites, or the policies or practices of other companies.

Personal data: GRTgaz has set up a website via the Okó agency, hosted by OVH, for the purpose of an advertising campaign for gas. The processing of personal data is used to collect the contact details of Website users who wish to post comments or ask questions; as well as to log connections for all Website visits. Website visit data is collected by a website-analytics tool in order to obtain information on user navigation.

Connection data is located outside the European Union and is transferred to the United States. The following safeguards have been taken to ensure a sufficient level of protection for personal data: Data transfer takes place in the USA and the company benefits from the Privacy Shield.

In accordance with French law no. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 and its amendments, relating to information technology, files and freedoms, you have the right to access and rectify data, which is exercised by contacting the GRTgaz Data Protection Officer by email at or by post at the following address:

You may also object to the processing of your personal data for legitimate reasons.

User obligations: As a user of the “Le Gaz. L’énergie des possibles” Website, you are required to comply with applicable law, and in particular the provisions of the law relating to data processing, files and freedoms, the breach of which is subject to criminal penalties. In particular, you must refrain from any collection or misuse of the personal information to which you have access, and more generally, from any act likely to be detrimental to the privacy, dignity, sensitivity, brand image or reputation of any natural or legal person, and in particular of GRTgaz, by avoiding any reference, message or text that is defamatory, provocative, malicious, derogatory or threatening on any medium whatsoever.

Amendment of the GTCUs: GRTgaz reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to change, modify, add to or delete all or part of these GTCUs at any time. It is the responsibility of the Website user to consult the GTCU on a regular basis. The Website user acknowledges and accepts that any access to or use of the Website after the date of modification of the GTCU implies express and unreserved acceptance of the new GTCU as published on the Website.

Applicable law: The Website is subject to French law. All its content, offerings and services are governed by current French legislation. Any interpretation, challenge or claim concerning the Website shall fall within the jurisdiction of the French courts.

If a provision of these GTCUs is deemed to be invalid or declared as such pursuant to a law, a regulation or following a final decision handed down by a competent court, the other provisions shall nevertheless remain in force.
